Community Sentiment Tracking

As part of the LSU Office of Communications & University Relations, this unit regularly surveys key LSU stakeholder groups including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, donors, alumni, parents, legislators, local and national industry, and community members. Long-term longitudinal data is collected so LSU can identify changes in stakeholder sentiment and proactively work to address issues as they appear in the data. When key issues arise, focus groups are conducted with stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of constituents' perceptions and concerns.

Having a unit dedicated to regularly measuring sentiment among our stakeholders allows LSU to seek truth, exhibit empathy, and demonstrate care to all LSU Tigers in a proactive and data-supported manner.

The Community Sentient Tracking unit operates under a cost-center model and can easily perform internal fund transfers between units within the LSU System in order to fund department-specific research.
