Chris Morriss
Associate Director, Programs
My time in university recreation began as an undergraduate student and as an intramural
flag football official. I continue to do this work because, through my experiences,
I have developed a passion for all that university recreation has to offer. Through
the opportunity to work with our Sport Program Supervisors, Sport Club Officers, Intramural
Officials and Tiger’s Den camp staff I am able to help develop life-long skills that
all of them will be able to use in their future careers.
I continue to do this work because, through my experiences,
I have developed a passion for all that university recreation has to offer. -Chris
Alternate career
My original undergraduate path was to become a high school Math teacher and coach. I still love Math and if I didn’t have this job could still see myself teaching and being a coach.
Officially famous
I am a member of the National Flag Football Hall of Fame. I was inducted in 2016 as an official.
Favorite spots in Baton Rouge
I love trying all of the local food options in Baton Rouge. I can usually be found trying one of the new spots that has opened.
