ASPIRE Workshop

ASPIRE brings together faculty, research staff, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates who are using or exploring AI and machine learning in research, teaching, and partnerships.

The program begins by mapping current AI activity across LSU and then moves into speed-research sessions where participants share questions, identify complementary expertise, and form new interdisciplinary connections.

For TIAMS, ASPIRE also develops a practical culture of AI-assisted mathematical translation: asking better questions of models, exposing assumptions, identifying mathematical structures, and connecting domain scientists with mathematicians who can test those structures.
