Propose a Program
TIAMS welcomes ideas for long programs, workshops, mini-schools, special events, and other research activities that can create meaningful mathematical and scientific collaboration.
Strong proposals usually have a clear scientific question, a timely reason to bring people together, complementary mathematical/scientific perspectives, a plausible core community, opportunities for emerging researchers, and outcomes that can continue after the meeting ends.
TIAMS is especially interested in programs where mathematical structure can clarify
a significant scientific problem, where a scientific problem can stimulate new mathematics,
or where AI-assisted mathematical translation can help researchers identify promising
connections.
Long Programs
Proposals should describe:
- Scientific theme and component research streams
- Timeliness and potential impact
- Organizing team
- Potential long-term/core participants
- Tutorials and workshops
- Weekly seminars/working groups
- Junior-researcher participation and mentoring
- AI/mathematical-translation opportunities
- Possible industry, government, or national-lab partners
- Expected outputs
- Preferred dates and facility needs
