Dr. MacGregor coordinates the graduate program in Applied Research, Measurement and Evaluation. Along with qualitative and quantitative research design, she teaches specialty courses in evaluation and content analysis.  Prior to joining the faculty at Louisiana State University, she spent eight years in North Carolina teaching in K-12 schools and one year serving as a supervisor of instruction. Her research is focused on the impact of instructional program innovation in educational environments at both the K-12 and higher education levels.  Her scholarship is published in a variety of journals and presented at local, regional, national, and international conferences including presentations in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and Africa. One of her publications related to how task scaffolding supports the application of effective web searching strategies and acquisition of knowledge was selected by national peer review as one of the top 10 research articles published during the first decade of 2000. This research is published in Considerations on Educational Technology Integration: The Best of JRTE by the International Society of Technology in Education.  For her work in civic engagement and service learning she was awarded the prestigious TIAA-CREF Service Learning Fellowship representing Louisiana State University in 2007 and received the Outstanding Faculty Research award at the Gulf South Summit for Service Learning and Civic Engagement in 2008.
