Holiday Shuttle

 

LSU Student Government and the LSU Family Association collaborate annually to sponsor a holiday shuttle program.

Shuttles for the 2022-2023 academic year are available for Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break to transport current LSU students to and from the New Orleans Airport.

All shuttle questions may be directed to the LSU Family Association at 225-578-1173 or lsufamily@lsu.edu.

Important Notes

All students who register for the holiday shuttles will receive communication reminders prior to each scheduled shuttle date. Please pay special attention to these reminders in case drop off or pick-up locations change.

Students should not park in any Faculty/Staff Lots or they will be ticketed/towed. 

Registration and Details

Transportation from LSU to the New Orleans (MSY) Airport

  • Monday, November 21, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 10 a.m., 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 22, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8a.m., Noon, 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 23, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8 a.m., 2 p.m.

Return transportation from the New Orleans (MSY) Airport to LSU

  • Sunday, November 27, 2022: Buses will depart from the airport at 10:00 a.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m.

Registration

Registration for the Thanksgiving Break Shuttle is now closed. The deadline to register for the Thanksgiving Break Shuttle was Sunday, November 13 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

  • Friday, December 9, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8 a.m., Noon., 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 10, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8 a.m., Noon, 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 11, 2022: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8 a.m.

Return transportation from the New Orleans (MSY) Airport to LSU

  • Saturday, January 14, 2023: Buses will depart from the airport at 2 p.m., 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, January 15, 2023: Buses will depart from the airport at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m.
  • Monday, January 16, 2023: Buses will depart from the airport at 2 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m.

Registration

Registration for the Winter Break Shuttle is now closed. The deadline to register for the Winter Break Shuttle was Wednesday, January 11 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Transportation from LSU to the New Orleans (MSY) Airport

  • Friday, March 10, 2023: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 11, 2023: Buses will leave campus at 4 a.m., 8 a.m., Noon

Return transportation from the New Orleans (MSY) Airport to LSU

  • Sunday, March 19, 2023: Buses will depart from the airport at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m.

Registration

Departure Onsite Registration

Pre-registration is now closed. The deadline to register for the Spring Break Shuttle was Tuesday, March 7 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

If you did not pre-register for the Spring Break Holiday Shuttle, you may register onsite in the the Ag Coliseum parking lot (A120) on the corner of South Stadium Drive and Highland Road. Look for the Holiday Shuttle signs. Please arrive to the Ag Coliseum lot at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The shuttle driver will ask you to complete the onsite registration form to collect your information and grant you access to ride the shuttle.

Return Onsite Registration

If you did not pre-register for the Holiday Shuttle return transportation on Sunday, March 19, you may register onsite. Please look for the purple LSU Tiger Trails bus outside of Terminal Level 3 of the New Orleans Airport. This is the upper level outside of departures.

Once you collect your baggage from baggage claim on Terminal Level 1, you will need to take the escalator or elevator back up to Level 3. Shuttles will arrive outside of Terminal Level 3 approx. 15 minutes prior to the scheduled shuttle pick-up times. Shuttles may have to circle the concourse, so please wait outside for the shuttle. The shuttle driver will ask you to complete the onsite registration form to collect your information and grant you access to ride the shuttle.

Cost

  • Round Trip Cost: $55
  • One-Way Cost: $45
  • Discount for Family Association members: The cost of the New Orleans airport shuttle for students of Family Association members will be $50 round trip or $40 one-way. In order to receive the discount, please indicate your Family Association membership status on the shuttle registration form. Learn more about the LSU Family Association here.
  • Fees will be assessed to the student’s fee bill.
  • All charges are non-refundable.

Note on New Orleans Shuttles

Please schedule New Orleans shuttles at least three hours before your flight.

Pick Up Points & Parking

Service from LSU Campus to the Airport

  • The default loading point for all Holiday Shuttles will be in the Ag Coliseum Lot (A120) in front of Parker Coliseum on N. Parker Coliseum Road. Look for the Holiday Shuttle signs.
  • Students who live on the west side of campus have the option to be picked up from Aster Street in the parking lot across from Spruce Hall and next to Tiger Band Hall. Students must select this option on their shuttle registration form.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your shuttle departure time to avoid any delays getting to the airport.
  • Students must have a valid student parking permit if they will be leaving a car on campus during the break. Students will not be ticketed/towed as long as they have a valid parking permit (residential/commuter/Greek) and park in the Ag Coliseum Lot or any of the surrounding residential or commuter lots.
  • Students should not park in any Faculty/Staff Lots or they will be ticketed/towed.

Return Service to Campus

For return service back to campus, purple Tiger Trails buses will pick up students from Level 3 of the New Orleans (MSY) airport. 

 

Shuttle Tracking

Students may track their shuttles through the TransLōc app, which can downloaded onto a mobile device or accessed at lsu.transloc.com/info/mobile. The New Orleans Holiday Shuttle will appear as "Holiday - NOLA” on the TransLōc app: lsu.transloc.com.
