Student Linguistics Association

SLA is a student-ran linguistics club at LSU and was founded to expand student involvement in the field outside of the classroom. Leading research events such as Linguistics Meet-up allows student researchers a formal setting to rehearse and gain critique on future conference presentations, and grants opportunities to grow among fellow student linguists. SLA promotes community, knowledge exchange, and research support among student members and linguistics faculty.

Our members are involved in a wide variety of research topics, and present findings at LSU Discover Day, The Southeastern Conference on Linguistics and departmental panels.
