Building LSU's Capacity for Global Impact

Global engagement shapes how universities attract talent, build meaningful partnerships, and support students. This series brings experienced higher education leaders into focused conversation with LSU colleagues about the choices and capabilities that strengthen the university's global impact.

Each 90-minute master class combines expert perspective, moderated discussion, and practical consideration of what the ideas mean for LSU.

Presented by the LSU Office of Global Engagement, in partnership with the LSU Pinkie Gordon Lane Graduate School.

 

2026-2027 Series

Planning is underway for the inaugural series, anticipated to begin during the 2026–27 academic year. Dates, speakers, session topics, and registration information will be announced as details are confirmed.

Potential areas of focus include:

  • LSU’s position in a changing global higher education landscape
  • International partnerships that create sustained, mutually beneficial impact
  • International student belonging, persistence, and success
  • Connections among global talent, academic strengths, reputation, and institutional priorities

Topics may evolve as speakers are identified and the series is further developed.

Who Should Attend

The series is being developed for LSU academic and administrative leaders and selected faculty and staff whose work connects to each session’s topic. Participation details, including invitation and registration information, will be provided with each session announcement. Space may be limited to support focused discussion.
