Practice Name: Paws and Claws Animal Care
City: LAKE HAVASU CITY
Contact Person: Ron Hancock
Associate Veterinarian Position Paws and Claws Animal Care Lake Havasu City, Arizona (A Resort and Retirement Community on the Colorado River (Home of The London Bridge)
Paws and Claws Animal Care, a veterinary hospital, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is seeking a motivated young Associate Veterinarian.
Dr. Wendy Hancock, the owner, is both client and associate oriented. She appreciates everyone working in the practice having a good "work-life balance," and likes working 4 days herself, rather than 5, so is very understanding of everyone's personal quality time.
Lake Havasu City is actively social, lots of festivals, numerous special events, stock car races, night life, great dinning, and of course the 26-mile long lake. It is not an uncommon sight to see a dozen hot air balloons overhead. Las Vegas is less than a 3-hour scenic drive to the north, and Phoenix is 3 hours to the southeast. Disneyland is 5 hours away. Winter skiing is nearby. Lake Havasu City is both a resort area with lots of young adults as well as a retirement community, both with pets and the resources to provide for their healthcare needs.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The four clinics in Havasu handle their own emergencies during the week, then rotates the weekends amongst the separate clinics. A lot of cooperation in that regard.
We are paperless, using IDEXX NEO software, a modern laboratory, and constantly obtaining the latest in veterinary equipment.
Paws and Claws offers a production percentage, with a guaranteed salary, health insurance, continuing education, professional licensing, personal time off, etc. Dr. Hancock understands that a good fit is worth good compensation.
We would love to have you visit.
