Cancel Your Housing Contract
Complete the form below to cancel your housing contract if you no longer need on-campus housing.
To request a room change, email us.
This form is the only way LSU Residential Life will accept cancellations.
Students who cancel with LSU Admissions must also cancel with the Department of Residential Life.
Any refund or penalty associated with cancellation will go by the date and time this cancellation form is submitted and will be administered through your university student account.
Once your request has been processed by Res Life staff, you will receive a confirmation email with details of your cancellation request. Please retain that email for your records.
Ten (10) business days after you receive that confirmation, you may request a refund of a credit balance by emailing the Bursar’s Office. Please be sure to include your full name and/or myLSU logon ID.
If you have not already selected Direct Deposit as your preferred method of receiving refunds, please go to myLSU, Financial Services, Direct Deposit and provide your banking information. Direct Deposit is the fastest, most secure refund method.
