Traditional Housing

Traditional housing options simply mean the residence hall is not tied to a specific academic theme and is open to all first-year students, regardless of major.

Acadian Hall at LSU

Acadian Hall

Located in the heart of campus, Acadian Hall features two-student rooms and community-style bathrooms. Most rooms have sinks in them, and students love the large courtyard and walk-in closets.

Annie Boyd Hall at LSU

Annie Boyd Hall

As a traditional hall completely renovated in 2012, Annie Boyd Hall is a popular option for students desiring a suite-style bathroom on the east side of campus. With its small size, large front porch, and group study rooms, Annie Boyd Hall has everything students need for a community atmosphere.

Herget Hall is located on Campus Lake next to Miller Hall and Greek Row, making it a popular choice for men and women interested in Greek Life at LSU. Also close to the University Recreation Center and the walking and bike trails along the University Lake, Herget Hall provides easy access to recreational activities for residents in two-student and four-student rooms with community-style bathrooms.

Kirby Smith Hall

A campus landmark, Kirby Smith Hall features suite-style rooms and bathrooms, where two two-student rooms share a central entry door and a bathroom that separates the two rooms. Students enjoy the experience of Kirby Smith Hall and the nearby amenities on the west side of campus, including the short walks to The 5 dining hall, athletic venues, The Quad, and Middleton Library.

McVoy Hall at LSU

McVoy Hall

Students love the convenient location of McVoy Hall – right next to The 459 Commons dining hall with lake access and a short walk to the University Recreation Center. The two-student rooms feature a wall of closets and separate sleep and study areas.

Beauregard, Jackson, Taylor, and LeJeune Halls

The Pentagon Community is a picturesque living area consisting of four residence halls – Beauregard Hall, Jackson Hall, LeJeune Hall, and Taylor Hall – and an activity center surrounding a grass and brick courtyard that gives residents a truly unique living experience in vertical stacks on the west side of campus.
