BATON ROUGE – Two units in the Office of Diversity – formerly known as Equity, Diversity & Community Outreach – will host open houses for campus and community networking. Each open house event gives the public a chance to learn more about the programs, services and initiatives planned for the upcoming year. Each event will include refreshments and are free and open to the public.
The Women’s Center will host an open house on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Campus and community supporters are invited to learn more about the department’s mission, resources and upcoming programs. The African American Cultural Center, or AACC, will host an open house on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility – the only free standing African American Center in Louisiana – and meet staff members while learning about the center’s ongoing and upcoming programs.
