BATON ROUGE – As part of LSU Theater’s Lab season, students will perform Sam Shephard’s “Fool for Love” in the Studio Theatre, located in the Music & Dramatic Arts Building.

Directed by Rachel Paternostro with a cast and design team of LSU’s talented students, “Fool for Love” features performances on Feb. 4- 8 at 7:30 p.m., and on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All dates and times are subject to change.

Winner of the Obie Award, this play is considered by many to be Shepard’s best work. This masterfully constructed work has been a critical and popular success, bringing searing intensity and rare theatrical excitement to its probing, yet sharply humorous study of love, hate and the dying myths of the Old West.

“Fool for Love” features adult language and adult situations. The show is ideally suited for upper-division high school students and theatre patrons with a love for contemporary American theatre.

Tickets for “Fool for Love” performances are $10 and can only be purchased at the door. This production is supported by the LSU Performing Arts Fee.
