After serving as law librarian for the Supreme Court of Korea, Dr. Ju continued her education in Information Science, obtained her PhD from the Florida State University, and joined LSU in 2002. She is associate editor of the Journal of Information and Knowledge Management, and in 2013 she co-chaired the international Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T).

Her research interests include human-computer interaction, design and evaluation of user interfaces, usability analysis, and knowledge management. Her current research projects involve examining user interaction with video retrieval systems and user-centered design and evaluation of video digital libraries. Moreover, she extends her research effort to explore socio-cognitive aspects of information/knowledge sharing among inter- and intra-group members to establish a basis for developing technology communication models in virtual organizations and cyber infrastructures.
