Greetings from the Office of Academic AffairsProvost Haynie

It is such a privilege to send this note of welcome for the spring 2019 semester without the modifier “interim” in my title. I am truly thrilled to be able to serve the incredible students who study with us and to collaborate with the amazing faculty and staff of LSU who are dedicated to our mission. I am appreciative of President Alexander’s trust in me and look forward to seeing his vision fulfilled.

As trite as it may sound, it does seem like yesterday that I was completing my first year at LSU. I am as energized today, 29 years later, as I was then about the role, scope and mission of higher education. Our scholarly and creative works are central to the marketplace of ideas that generate a robust academic experience for our students, students who fuel the economic engine of tomorrow. I am excited about the collective vision that the LSU Strategic Plan 2025 represents. I care deeply and passionately about this institution, and I am confident that together we can lead Louisiana and impact our world.

Stacia Haynie, Executive Vice President & Provost
