Kristin Sosnowsky Appointed as Interim Dean of the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts

LSU has appointed Kristin Sosnowsky as interim dean of the College of Music & Dramatic Arts. This decision comes after the announcement that Dean Todd Queen has accepted the position of dean of the School of Music at Florida State University.

New Resource: Expectations for LSU Online Courses

In response to inquiries regarding developing and facilitating online courses, the LSU Online team has created the Expectations for LSU Online Courses document. This document includes guidelines for faculty teaching in LSU Online programs to ensure courses are set up and ready for students prior to term start and that all regulatory requirements are met for Title IV. Please refer to these guidelines to help provide students with a quality online experience! 

Upcoming Workshop - Facilitating an Online Course: Effective Instructional Practices (1/6/2020)

Hosted by the LSU Online Design & Development team and the Faculty Technology Center, this workshop examines strategies faculty can use to actively engage learners and create instructor presence in building a meaningful online and blended learning environment. We will discuss the role of faculty in providing guidance in the form of regular, substantive interactions and feedback on assignments throughout the course. Mandatory Trainings Due by End of Year

As we approach the end of the year, time is running out to ensure you are compliant with the annual mandatory training classes. LSU requires that each employee complete the Preventing Sexual Misconduct training, Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics training, and the Digital Resource and Content Accessibility training each calendar year by Dec. 31.
