Research Associate 1
A research associate position is available in the laboratory of Vince LiCata at Louisiana State University. Current areas of emphasis in his research group include investigation into the mechanism of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) damage to isolated DNA binding proteins.
60% Purify DNA binding proteins for use in ROS damage studies
20% Perform laboratory procedures to assay for ROS damage in proteins.
20% Laboratory upkeep and maintenance;Organize and quality-control data. Work with undergraduate assistants in the laboratory.
Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
