Summer Call Center/Front Desk Operator 

The Call Center/Front Desk Operator for the Department of Residential Life is a student staff member employed in the spring semester and/or summer. This position works with and reports directly to the Coordinator for Communications and Administrative Services. This position is the front line for guest experience in the Residential Life office. He/she is responsible for assisting a the front desk, and making and receiving calls regarding LSU on-campus housing.


Summer Desk Assistant 

Every on-campus community has a front desk, and most are open 24/7. Desk Assistants (DAs) work at the desks as customer-service agents and first point-of-contact for residents. Whether it’s a room lockout, package pick up, submitting a work order, or guest registration, DAs handle it all. Application coming soon.


Summer Computer Technician

Residential Life has its own IT Help Desk to support on-campus residents. If you carry a basic customer support skill set or seeking a CIS degree and are interested in an information technology field, you can gain hands-on practical work experience in this position in the areas of PC troubleshooting, Hardware/Software installation and Network Support. 


Summer Tour Guide

Residential Life tour guides are a key part of the recruitment team in Residential Life. Tour guides lead daily tours of the residence halls to more than 12,000 guests each year and also work special events and summer orientations to help students and families see the value in living on campus. If you are outgoing, can think on your feet, and enjoy talking to people, being a tour guide may be right for you!

Summer Graphic Design Internship 

The Residential Life graphic designer student intern will work as part of the communications team updating, designing, and posting information including but not limited to signage, posters, digital slides, social media icons and backgrounds, pamphlets, postcards, newsletters, flyers, and t-shirts. 


Summer Communications Internship 

The Residential Life communications intern is an undergraduate or graduate student. Communications interns will work with the Associate Director and Assistant Director of Communications for Residential Life to help with implementing the communications and strategic marketing plan for Residential Life.  Marketing could include, but is not limited to: creation of social media content, taking photos and videos around the residence halls, writing blogs, website updates, and assisting with promotional events. The communications intern will also be trained with Res Life tour guides in best practices for customer service, leading guests on campus, and to give tours of the residence halls for special events as needed.
