Irina Shport is an Assistant Professor in English and Linguistics. Professor Shport received her Ph.D. in Linguistics and her M.A. in Japanese Language and Pedagogy from the University of Oregon. The major area of her research are perception and production of sound patterns; second language acquisition and pedagogy; and individual differences in language learning. Much of this research is conducted in the Language Learning & Teaching Lab directed by Professor Shport (Allen Hall 10).
