Greg Johnson is an Instructor in English and Linguistics. Dr. Johnson received his PhD in Linguistics with a specialization in Cognitive Science from Michigan State University. He came to LSU after a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at CUNY (The Grad Center & CSI) where he worked on the Audio Aligned and Parsed Corpus of Appalachian English (AAPCAppE). His major area of research is natural language Syntax, Semantics, and syntactic micro-variation between dialects. Dr. Johnson collects language data online and via traditional methods.
