Ph.D. with Construction Management Specialization
PhD PROCEDURES • PhD GUIDELINES • PROGRAM OF STUDY (POS) FORM
CM faculty manage a PhD program with a Construction Management concentration. It is through the interdepartmental doctoral program in engineering science. A student must complete 54 semester hours of graduate-level courses beyond the bachelor’s, with half of these hours at or above the 7000 level. Two sub-areas of specialization are required, comprising a total of 24 hours, with at least one 7000-level course in each area. Each student must complete and successfully defend a dissertation research topic and general examination. The doctoral program is administered by the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the College of Engineering.
Important Note to CAMPUS STUDENTS:
All CM graduate campus courses are online and operate within a 7-week duration. These CM courses do not follow the start and finish dates noted in the traditional 8-week calendars. All campus students taking a CM graduate class need to aware that the add/drop dates are based on the traditional 8-week campus calendar even though the actual class start and finish dates differ.
