Dr. Kenny Varner, the Shirley B. Barton Endowed Associate Professor had a full fall semester, traveling to Australia as the Eminent Visiting Scholar (EViS) at the University of Southern Queensland, as a distinguished visiting scholar at Germany’s Philipps-Universität Marburg and visiting scholar at Croatia’s Zagreb University.
School of Kinesiology’s Dr. Per Svensson received the European Association for Sport Management’s (EASM) Best Paper Award at the conference held in September 2017 in Bern, Switzerland for his research on "Intra-organizational Factors Associated with Innovation in Sport for Development and Peace."
