Q: Why did you choose LSU?
A: I am originally from New Orleans and attending school in Baton Rouge has helped me get out of my comfort zone and allowed me to become more independent.
Q: Why did you choose Child & Family Studies as your major?
A: Entering college, I was undecided in which major to choose, so I met with an advisor who encouraged me to take a career aptitude test. One of my top choices based off my personality was Kinesiology. However, I was ensure, Kinesiology has been a great decision
Q: What are you most excited for this semester?
A: I am excited to be a part CHSE Distinguished Scholars; it is an opportunity to do hands on research with a faculty member.
Q: Why did you apply to be a CHSE Ambassador?
A: I applied to be an ambassador because I wanted to recruit students to CHSE. I had no idea that the Child & Family Studies major existed until a few months into my freshman year. I want to help other students learn about CHSE and the many things it has to offer early on.
Q: What advice would you give to someone contemplating your major?
A: Make an appointment with Bridget Robicheaux in 225 Peabody, she is lifesaver and will honestly tell you if CHSE will be the best fit for you.
Q: What is something that surprised you about LSU or CHSE?
A: When I first applied to LSU, I thought the campus was too large and that nobody would care if I succeeded or not, but I was wrong. Coming to LSU has been one of the best decision I ever made. LSU genuinely cares about their students.
Q: What do you plan to do with your degree once you graduate?
A: I am unable to decide between becoming an occupational therapist or a nurse. My primary goal is to work with children with disabilities.
An interesting fact about me is I was featured in a People magazine article with Sandra Bullock.
My dream job would be working with children with disabilities.
My favorite LSU tradition is every day at noon, the bell towers plays the Alma mater.
